Where are you going,SA? HHDL cancelled his trip

Blogger左上にある「次のブログへ」を何となくクリックしたら、ランダムにBlogger利用してる人のブログを表示するのですね。みんな英語で書いてたので、何となく、私もさっきの記事を・・語学力の問題もあって、ちょいちょい内容変わるな・・

His Holiness the Dalai Lama 14th (HHDL) expressed on 4 Oct that he would cancel his trip to SA. HHDL was invited to the Novel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu. 's 80th birthday celebration, but SA government suspended the issue of HHDL's visa.

From the source above, it is mentioned that SA government concserned any influences caused by the visa issue, namely the reaction of China, SA's largest trading partner.

I didn't know that China has now so much influence over Africa as to make SA volunteerly deny HHDL's visa.

And, SA!!!
where are you going? you've overcome the difficulties of Apartheid and built such an beautiful nation! are you trapped by the power of Economics now? is that what you take the most value? I was just DEEPLY disappointed!

The deny of HHDL's visa happened in 2009 as well in the name of some reason related to the FIFA W cup. But HHDL has visited SA several times before Zuma took the office.

Of course, SA citizen show their anger towards the government's attitude. There were some candlenight meeting against the government in some cities in SA, including Cape Town, my beloved city.
